Lygia
The quiet, sleepy fishing village of Lygia is located on a hill above the sea and belongs to Preveza Prefecture to the local Zalongo. It is only 27 km to the centre of Preveza.
Lygia is popular for several reasons:
The main beach of Lygia is a long sandy beach interspersed with round pebbles. You can find more sandy beaches on both sides of the village, which remain almost completely untouched by commerce, so you are not bothered by beach cafes, beach chairs and umbrellas. Here you will be able to find even in the high season a quiet place to enjoy the Greek sun. Thanks to the clean, deep blue sea and the volcanic reefs off the beaches snorkelling is excellent here.
Things worth knowing about.
A large number of restaurants and taverns on site with fresh fish, meat, fresh salads and lovingly prepared food offer you the opportunity to leave the car behind and after a leisurely walk to get yourself a delicious meal.
In addition, Lygia has a small fishing port, which can be reached from the village comfortably on a small serpentine road.
